TextSeal Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 12, 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TextSeal services ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. User Types and Service Access

Anonymous Users (No Account Required)

  • You may use TextSeal without registering for an account.
  • Rate Limit: Limited to 10 entries per IP address per day.
  • Data Retention: Data submitted by anonymous users will be stored for up to 36 months, after which it may be automatically deleted without notice.
  • Functionality Limitations: Anonymous users have no access to account-based features, data management tools, or data export capabilities.

Free Account Users

  • Rate Limit: Limited to 100 new entries per day.
  • Data Retention: Data can be retained for up to 10 years from the date of creation.
  • Storage Limit: Limited to 500 entries per account.
  • Limitations: Users must manage storage within these limits. New data cannot be added if the limit is reached until old data is deleted.

Paid Account Users

  • Rate Limit: Limited to 500 new entries per day.
  • Data Retention: User Content may be retained indefinitely while the account remains active and in good standing.
  • Storage Limit: Paid accounts are limited to 50000 entries per account.
  • Usage Limitations: When the storage limit is reached, users must delete or remove data to continue adding new content.
  • Account Downgrade or Cancellation:
    • Upon downgrade to a Free Account, if the account contains more than the Free Account limit of 500 entries, only the most recent 500 entries will remain accessible.
    • Any entries exceeding the Free Account limit will be automatically archived for 60 days.
    • During the 60-day grace period, users will have the option to upgrade back to a Paid Plan, export, or manually delete the excess data.
    • After 60 days, all archived data exceeding the Free Account limit will be permanently deleted without further notice.

2. Fair Use and Abuse Prevention

  • Users must not use the Service to upload, store, or process content in a way that exceeds normal individual or organizational use, including but not limited to automated uploads, spam-like usage, or storage of large volumes of irrelevant or machine-generated data.
  • We monitor for abuse and may, at our sole discretion, limit, suspend, or terminate accounts or IP addresses engaging in abusive behavior or violating these Terms.
  • Excessive usage, attempts to bypass rate limits, or behavior impacting system stability will result in restrictions or termination.

3. Content Ownership and Responsibility

  • You retain ownership of your submitted content.
  • You are solely responsible for the legality, appropriateness, and accuracy of your content.
  • You agree not to use the Service to store or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content.

4. Modifications to Service and Limits

  • TextSeal reserves the right to:
    • Modify service features, limitations, storage policies, or usage restrictions at any time.
    • Adjust rate limits, storage quotas, or retention periods based on system needs or to ensure fair usage.
    • Provide notice of material changes to these Terms via email or system notifications where applicable.

5. Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • TextSeal does not guarantee data availability, accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose.
  • We are not liable for any loss of data or damages resulting from use of the Service.
